The Organiser Software -
We apologise for some technical difficulties that we have had with this issue and as a result were not able to send out disks with the catalogues. If you normally use the disk we would like to encourage you to download the software from Schools/Free Software/Download...Summer 2010 issue. If you are not able to do this then please let us know and we can send a zipped copy of the software via email or a disk by post. For this issue it will also be necessary to send your order file as an attachment to an email and not via your browser. In the Master Order Form window please follow the usual process of preparing an email order, click on the Email icon and your order will display in your browser and create the email order file. Close the browser, prepare an email to us and attach the file XXSUM10...XML which is located in your Organiser folder. If you have any difficulties with this process please contact us.
If you are using Windows Vista you will need to refer to the stand-alone file BBSORG (Compiled HTML Help) in your Organiser folder for the help notes. When downloading or installing The Organiser you may get a Security Warning - you can ignore this message which occurs because it is an application file (.exe) and at present does not have a digital signature to identify its source. The software is safe for your computer and is virus free.
If you downloaded the Organiser software before 7 April then there is an incorrect price for No. 75 Transformers Paint..Create, the correct price as shown on the catalogue is £4.99 or €7.00.

Title Information
We indicate below any discrepancies in the catalogues or order forms and indicate any changes in the price or availability of particular books and what we are doing about it. Where a title is unavailable and we send a substitute, the substitute book will match the original as closely as possible and will be the same or normally a higher value. If the substitute book is not acceptable we will offer an alternative item of the reader’s choice to the same value as the original or a refund/credit to the school.

The photocopiable titles in the Mental Maths in Minutes series provide a systematic approach to teaching and learning number facts. Each Mental Maths sheet is split into four columns - teachers photocopy the sheet, then slice the copies to provide strips of questions to give to the children. The children are timed for one minute and achieve a score according to the number of questions that they get correct. Specific skills such as addition, subtraction, doubling, halving, multiplying and dividing are addressed repeatedly, but each time at a higher level of understanding and children are encouraged to improve on their scores. |
