Nobody disputes the value of getting children
to read but what can be difficult is knowing what to give them to read
and how to get it. There are more than 10,000 new children’s books
published each year in the UK and probably over 100,000 in print –
so where do you start?
We have tried to make your job easier
by selecting out the books that we think are worthwhile, that you can
confidently give to your children and which will benefit them. With new
books constantly appearing (and sometimes old classics disappearing) there
is no fixed list of recommended books for children, that’s why we
prepare quarterly catalogues with about 400 books for children many of
which are recently published. You can view the cover and the whole catalogue below.
The catalogues are normally distributed
to children and parents via schools and there are benefits for the school
in the form of free books if they operate our school book club scheme.
If your children’s school is not participating in our club then
you might like to suggest they do or let us know the school details and
we can mail them. If you are not able to order books via the school then
we have a home ordering service. |
